The Solution My Family has Found for Bedwetting

Sharing is caring!

I still remember when my 1st child was old enough to be potty trained. Being the naive parent that I was, I was so excited for this new adventure in our lives and for my child to finally be out of diapers!

I don’t need to go into detail about the process of potty training. If you’ve ever done it, you know! The one thing I wasn’t prepared for was nighttime wetting after we were done with potty training.

What was wrong with my child and why couldn’t she stay dry at night?

Was this my fault?

Did I do something wrong?

I tried everything I could to help my child to stay dry at night but nothing seemed to work. I could tell she was getting frustrated with herself because she saw how frustrated I was!

I had so many friends and family who wanted to tell me what I was doing wrong.

“Don’t give her sweets after dinner.”

“Don’t give her drinks after dinner.”

“Make her sleep in her wet sheets. Eventually she’ll hate it so much she’ll stop.”

Yeah…that last piece of advice never sat well with me, and all the other advice still didn’t work. I wish I had known then what I know NOW. Bedwetting is actually a medical condition called nocturnal enuresis. Basically, it means that your child’s brain just hasn’t quite learned how to communicate with their bladder at night. Also, 1 in 6 children between the ages of 4 and 12 experience this!

The good news…I was not ALONE, and this WOULD eventually end! After trying everything we could find to stop our child's bedwetting, we finally found a solution that helped our whole family to be happy again! @goodnites

I finally came to a point where I was DONE stressing out myself and my child with everything we had been trying. I was DONE washing wet sheets and waking up in the middle of the night to a crying child who was upset because they felt like they had once again failed in staying dry. I was also DONE listening to everyone else’s advice. I started using GoodNites® Bedtime Pants and have not gone back. My whole family started sleeping soundly again, my laundry was cut in half, and my child stopped stressing about a condition that she had no control over.

So many people still have this idea in their head that something is wrong with a child if they still wet the bed. I have seen so many kids grow up embarrassed and ashamed because of how people made them feel about wetting the bed. It’s so sad and I never want my kids to experience that!

Life is stressful enough, and I’m grateful for GoodNites  because they made it possible for us to add a simple step to our nighttime routine, and then move on with life. My kids love them because they’re discreet and easy to use, and I love them because they’re designed specifically to provide my kids with outstanding nighttime protection so I know they’re comfortable and confident at night.

I now have 4 children (and a fifth on the way) and 2 more have also experienced bedwetting. The good news is, in our home it’s no big deal, just a normal part of life. So give your child a hug tonight and reassure them that this is a normal part of life and that you will be there for them every step of the way. To learn more about bedwetting information and hear advice from experts that can help your child rest easy tonight, visit GoodNites.com.
